Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Guide

Low Cost Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Parking

Schiphol Airport has a selection of different car parking options to choose from. The various car parking areas are clearly numbered. All parking facilities are paid for and the charges will depend on the length of time that the parking space is required. All of the parking areas are as secure as possible, fitted with 24-hour video surveillance and security guards regularly patrol the areas.

Parking at the airport is divided into four different sections – Short Term parking, Long Term parking, Luxury parking and Valet parking.

Short Term Airport Parking at Schiphol Airport

Parking for short term usage has two parking garages available. These areas are labeled as P1 and P2, with P1 as the closest area to the terminal building. From here, Schiphol Plaza and the Arrivals area can be accessed through a covered walkway. The P2 parking garage has a tunnel that connects it to the terminal.

The short term parking garages have headroom of only 2 meters or 6.5 feet. Vehicles needing more height space will be able to park at the P3 area, which is the long term parking area, but may still be charged with the short term parking tariffs.

All parking facilities are charged in Euros. For the short term parking garages, the first hour fee is Euro 3.80. Thereafter, the hourly rate continues at Euro 3.80, or the passenger can park for up to three days at Euro 26.00. From day four onwards, parking is charged at Euro 15 per day.

Long Term Airport Parking at Schiphol Airport

The long term car parking area is situated further away from the terminal building and is therefore accessed with a free transfer bus, that operates every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day.

This area is marked as P3 and is situated on the airport access road, about 4km from the airport terminal building. To find your way, look out for the signs indicating ‘P-Lang Parkeren’.

Parking will be charged at Euro 50 for up to 48 hours and then at Euro 5.50 per day, thereafter.

Luxury Airport Parking at Amsterdam Airport

This parking garage is called P7 and is located below the terminal building, as an underground car park. Signs will direct you to the area as you approach the airport terminal.

The first hour for luxury parking will cost Euro 11.00 and, thereafter, at an hourly rate of Euro 6.50. The daily rate charged is Euro 37.50.

Valet Airport Parking at Schiphol

For special VIP treatment and no parking hassles, make use of the airport’s valet parking services. When arriving, leave your car in one of the valet spaces between Departures 1 and Departures 2 and hand in your keys at the desk in Departures 2. Your car will be parked on your behalf and will be waiting for you outside the departure hall on your return.

The first three days of valet parking will cost Euro 35 per day. Day’s four to seven will be charged at Euro 19.50 per day.

Payment for all the parking areas can be made in cash, by credit card or with special payment cards (debit or multi-bank cards). Payments are made at the vehicle exits. The only exception is the Luxury Airport Parking, which is principally available for account holders. Occasional users can pay by credit card only.

There are reserved parking spaces for disabled drivers in the short term parking garages as well as in the long term, P3 parking area. Directly in front of the terminal building, is the free drop-off zone for departing passengers.

All parking spaces at Schiphol Airport can be reserved in advance by using Schiphol Smart Parking. Reservations should be made at least one week prior to departure. The best parking rates are available through Smart Parking, and if you are flying with KLM, then make sure you give your ticket number for even more savings. It is very reassuring to know that your parking space is waiting for you on your arrival!

With the various parking options, Schiphol Airport aims to meet all the passenger’s individual parking requirements.
